pg 36. It was when Satan left the immediate presence of God, he went forth to diffuse the spirit of discontent among the angels...how important it is for us to stay in the "immediate presence of God".
And this really sums up sin (pg.37) "secretly fomenting discord and rebellion...it appear as his sole purpose to promote loyalty and to preserve harmony and peace".
pg 37 - "He began to insinuate doubts concerning the laws that governed heavenly beings, intimating that though laws might be necessary for the inhabitants of the worlds, angels, being more exalted, needed no such restraint, for their own wisdom was a sufficient guide."
Is this not what spiritualists and atheists claim today?? (there is nothing new under the sun!)
pg - 39 "God bore long with Lucifer" Thankfully he bears long with us too.

This whole section brings to mind - 1 Sam 15:23 "For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubborness is as iniquity and idolatry..."

I feel very small after reading this chapter. My little world is such a tiny speck in the universe!
